Damned internet service... YET AGAIN!
Oh.My.God. I hate my cable and internet provider! I posted about then grounding us for the weekend a couple weeks ago and now there's more crap from them.
Ever since they turned us off for the weekend, after they turned us back on, we haven't been getting all the channels that we are supposed to be getting... like, 10 of them. And for the past 3 weeks there have been a lot of problems with the cable and we've had to call the company at least once a week, which isn't a really traumatic thing or anything, but my issue is that we shouldn't have to call at all, let alone weekly... At minimum.
Then today around 1:00 in the afternoon the tv turned off (well, not the actual tv, but the "cable" aspect of it) and the internet disconnected. I figured it was no big deal, it would be back on in a few minutes. And the tv did come back in within a couple of minutes, but the internet remained AWOL. Then around 2:15pm, the cable turned off again and remained that way until around 6:00pm. When we called, after being transferred around a few hundred times, we were informed that there was an on-call technician that they would call and have him call us back sometime later in the evening, then come over to take a look. I'm presuming that this alleged technician fixed the problem without contacting us because the cable and internet came back on and we never got a call. Either way, it's getting really damn annoying to have to plan my day around the potential of a technician coming over at any time to tell me why their service sucks so much ass.
