Yay! A Digit!
In reference to yesterday's post:
I decided to give the mitten project another stab and when I got to the makes no sense at all part, I winged it. And what do you know, I did something right because there is definitely a thumb shaped sticky-outy thing. So I've got from the cuff to about right below the fingers and of course, the thumb. How excited am I?! Although I don't think I'll be making the matching mitten. I'll have to start over with a new pair and make sure I don't follow the exact directions in the book because the design is messed up. It's a boring old stockinette stitch and, maybe the author didn't realize it, but if your start with the wrong stitch, it looks stupid. ...It keeps telling me to make my mitten look stupid.
Anyway, after I get done with this one, I'll make an actual pair, then I think I'll try my luck at socks. ...After I find a better source for patterns.
