I don't want to go and you can't make me! A few days ago, my daughter's teachers called because it's parent/teacher conference time and she wanted to set one up for us. She said, "There's nothing wrong, she's doing well. You know that. I just want to touch base and talk about where the year is heading". Yeah, uh... she already told me that she's doing well and every Friday we get a letter sent home explaining what will be learned the next week. Seems like we're all set. But noooo, I have to make a 15 minute drive, through construction (argh!), for a 10 minute conference (then the 15 minute drive home... through construction). I don't want to go. I don't want to be mauled by small children. And I don't want to have a conversation with someone who is so happy it makes me vomit a little.
