The Village

We just got home from seeing The Village and, without giving much away, I'll say that it was definitely not the scariest movie I've ever seen. It's rated PG-13, but after seeing it, I think would have been pretty comfortable taking my 5 year old with us. In fact, there were quite a few children there. You see more violence and "scary images" in Disney movies.

In case you didn't know...

M. Night Shyamalan, the writer-director of "The Sixth Sense", serves up another suspenseful film, this time about a small rural town in Pennsylvania whose citizens are frightened by mystical creatures that populate the surrounding woods. Only one young man has the courage to challenge the strange creatures and the policy that keeps the town's citizens confined to the village.

Actually, in my opinion anyway, the whole big scary village plot isn't even the point of the movie. I can't say anymore, but if you see it, you'll understand what I mean. So, like I said, it's not scary, but it's still pretty good. Just not exactly what I expected.
Ok, that's all I'm going to say before I ruin it.
