* * * Man, I really don't feel like being on the computer but I feel obligated to update since I haven't really been around for a few days. Not that anything very interesting has happened. Got the kindergarten situation all worked out and she starts on Thursday. PM classes. Do you realize how pointless and, more importantly, time consuming for the parents PM classes are at a half day K class? 1:00pm-3:30pm. STUPID! And I hate the school to which she's going. She was supposed to go to this REALLY nice one that I liked a lot, but they're "trying to keep class sizes down" so she's going to another. The one she's going to is farther and looks plain ghetto. I hate how things are run here. The school districts go by county instead of city which is just plain retarded considering the damn county is friggin HUGE. So instead of having like, 1 elementary school for this place there's about 7 (seriously). It's Ohio for pete's sake. Does this one town need that many elementary schools?! And in the town where I grew up there was the Elementary School (K-2nd), the Intermediate School (3rd-5th), the Junior High (6th-8th) and the High School (9th-12th). Almost all the "elementary" schools out here are K-6. What the hell is that shit? Throwing 5 and 6 year olds in with 11 and 12 year olds?! That's ridiculous. Anyway, enough about that. *abrupt subject change * So the other day the boyfriend and I were on our way to Walmart and we're stopped at a red light. Minding our own business when all of a sudden this guy comes flying through between my truck and the car next to me on a crotch rocket ...then I hear the sirens. The light turns green and 4 lanes of westbound traffic scramble to get out of the way to let the cop through (by this time, the guy was WAY the hell down the street and around the corner). Finally the cop gets to the intersection here the bike guy turned and there's another cop coming the opposite direction (also trying to get around 4 lanes of eastbound traffic). Then they turned and we lost sight of them. It was CRAZY. Everyone was just kind of milling about in their vehicles in a somewhat confused fashion, trying to get out of the way, but not really moving too quickly because (of course) they want to know what's going on. I have never seen anything like that. And the (kinda) scary thing is that Joe was just about to flop his arm out the window when the guy went zooming past on his bike. I'm not sure if he would have clotheslined the crazy bike guy off the bike, but that sure would have been funny if he had.
