.:sunday liquor sales:. I never could figure out why there were no liquor sales on Sunday. I mean, not that it matters to me 'cause I don't drink, but I just don't understand the reasoning behind it. What makes Sunday any different than any other day of the week. Well, THIS is the first article I saw today and I couldn't be happier. I just don't think it's a question of should we or shouldn't we, it's more a question of why shouldn't we? I mean, this ban on liquor sales has evidently been around since Prohibition. Prohibition? The ban on Sunday liquor sales had been around for over one hundred freakin years and they are just now (thinking about) changing it? Please. I know Ohio isn't all glamorous or whatever but we're certainly not hee-haw. Get with the times for pete's sake. The U.S. has been changing every damn thing that has to do with religion so why not this too? The government is supposed to stay out of religion... only, it seems to me that the government want to be our religion and the president our "god". It's obvious..."Look at me, I captured Saddam! Woo! Worship me (forget that we've been at war for most of my term and that NOTHING has really changed)... you are getting sleepy...." (That was my impression of Bush.) :) So anyway, a post that started about lifting the ban on Sunday liquor sales is ending (almost)totally off course....... 162 days until our chance for change! What can I say, I get started thinking about Bush, I get all huffy (no wait, I get noodged) and that's all I can think about. Dammit. I'm going to go sulk now. ACT
