.:AI:.
Diana DeGarmo
It seems to me that instead of actually singing, Diana De Garmmo shouted her way through the first song (I Believe). Sure, she did a nice enough job, but I think she could have turned it down a little. She just seemed to try too hard to match Fantasia's attention-grabbing talent.

Her second song (Enough Is Enough) was also in a shouting voice, but more melodic than the first. I have come to the conclusion that it's just her voice. It sounds like she has a perpetual cold. Maybe she's related to Kermit the Frog... Actually, now that I think about it, she kind of reminds me of Miss Piggy. I can almost see her yelling "Hiiii-YAH" and head-butting Kermit (or maybe Fantasia). Hmph.

The sound seemed to be kind of messed up for Diana's third song (Don't Cry Out Loud). I couldn't really hear much of anything but the background music until she started shouting, "DOOON'T CRYYY OOUT LOOOUUUD". Unfortunately, by then, I wished I couldn't hear it because it just sounded horribly out of tune to me. Maybe the pressure was getting to her, last chance to be an Idol and all...

**I've been typing between performances and oddly enough, Simon just basically said that last line I typed... as I was typing it. Maybe I'm psychic... Spooky.**

Fantasia Barrino
For Fantasia Barrino's first song ...well, there wasn't a whole lot of actual singing. Just alot of Oohs and Aahs. She looked like she was going to get all emotional towards the end of the song, but she got control of it. I swear, if she doesn't win Idol (and even if she does... look at Kelly Clarkson), she would make a damn good actress.

I actually enjoyed her second song (Summertime). I liked it the first time she did it and I still do, though if I remember correctly, she did a better job the night she originally sang it. But at least she didn't cry this time through (until Simon told her that he thought she might be the best contestant they have ever had on the show). *rolls eyes*

And For Fantasia's thrid perfomance of the night (I Believe).... other than the dress, everything was exceptional. I got damn goosebumps. What the hell. Then of course, the waterworks start up. Somebody get that girl a friggin' tissue or something.

By the way, does Fantasia have a lisp, or did I just imagine that?
