.:stupid weather:. I am definitely not spring weather's number one fan... especially when it involves tornadoes and flash floods and severe lightening and stuff. See, unlike some people, I don't like a "good thunderstorm". No, I certainly don't want to sit outside and "enjoy" the weather in a downpour. And no, I don't want to open the windows to hear the thunder better. I want to be in the basement with bottled water and canned goods, dammit. So, the past week we've been having relatively crappy weather, then about 3:00am this morning we started getting massive amounts of rain and wind and lightening and thunder. Actually, there were 2 houses hit by lightening during that storm... yeah, real comforting considering that was what I was most worried about. I don't really mind tornadoes too much, there just not one of the things I worry about when bad weather starts up. In fact, I would like to see one... just not in my living room. Well, you can imagine just how excited I was to find out that there was a funnel cloud and a tornado in the county below us in a storm that came on within seconds a few hours ago. One minute the sun was shining and bird were singing, then next the sky was ominously black and the trees were bending in directions I couldn't believe. Seriously, just like that, sun, shadow, black. Lightening, thunder, hail, rain, wind. This storm was moving about 50mph. Not cool. Lights were flickering, the tv was getting all crappy, then the news reports started. The storm was, like a line from the top of the state to the bottom, just moving it's way across. The temp. dropped about 20 degrees in seconds (I don't usually take that as a good sign). So I started freaking out, cause... you know, I'm a baby. Well, luckily for me, the worst of it passed within about 30 minutes. BUT there's another storm on the way that might affect us later tonight. I am not a happy camper right now.
