.:man, does this ever suck:.
Could the past 24 hours have sucked any more? I really don't think so. Lets start with yesterday when I got up, like noon-ish. Everything was pretty normal until I tried to go to bed at 5 this morning. I went upstairs and started reading... which I do every night. About an hour later I got up to go to the bathroom, flushed and it wasn't until I tried to wash my hands that I realized something was wrong. I turned the faucet on and, gee, nothing happened... and the toilet didn't refill either. So I start freaking out, "Do we owe money or something? No we couldn't... we just paid the damn water bill... and HEY! it's Sunday!!! The don't turn water off on Sundays..." stuff along those lines. So Joe called around and ended up being told to call the police because nobody had heard anything about any pipes breaking or whatever. They told him that there was a break somewhere on our road and it was spraying water everywhere and an officer was "looking into it".
By this time it was probably about 7am. Like I'm going to sleep now... it's frickin' light outside! He went back to bed and I sat around... and sat around some more... and some more. Getting annoyed and bored, I decided to straighten my hair. I mean, hell, it's not like I was going to get to take a shower or anything. So I'm straightening away and about 2 1/2 hours later, when I was about 3/4 done(I have REALLY thick curly hair)the damn supid a*shole-face straight iron totally crapped out and apparently went on strike. As you can probably imagine, I was super-pissed by this point. I stood in the bathroom for an additional 1/2 trying to beat the stupid thing into working which, by the way, did not work. So my hair isn't exactly straight, or looking real cute right now but hey, that's fine. I'm not going anywhere anyway. I.AM.SO.TIRED.
Around 2:00p I took a couple hour nap. That's about 26 hours awake and about 2 hours of sleep. Wonderful. And about 11 hours after I noticed there was no water... we finally, JUST NOW, have very low pressured water.
But wait, here's the best part... today is my birthday. Yeah, I'm serious. What kind of crap is that?!
